The ''S.'' (''t.'') ''torqueola'' group, comprising the subspecies ''torqueola'' and ''atriceps'' and commonly known as the cinnamon-rumped seedeater, is found from Sinaloa and Durango to western and southern Oaxaca; the ''S.'' (''t.'')
